Another important thing is that you need to handle the stressful situation in a very positive way else the side effects can lead you to severe consequences. I personally recommend everyone to try different asanas of yoga. Within a couple of months, you will feel the difference. I have been doing yoga for a long time and it has helped me a lot. You can also get involved in other physical activities to minimize the effect of stress. For example, walking, running, weight lifting and so on. As a matter of fact, an increase in physical activities is directly proportional to a decrease in stress intensity.

Diet: Your diet also plays a crucial role in handling stress. By inculcating some specific fruits and vegetables, you can minimize the effect of stress on your physical and mental health.

Psychiatrist Consultation: If you are exposed to long-term stress and things aren't working out as per your expectation then, its really important to consult a neurologist or psychiatrist. Falling to do so can lead to the mental as well as physical health complications.

It has been found that people who aren't able to handle the stress in a correct way are more prone to stress headaches, stress rashes and so on.

Personally, I avoid taking medicines to handle stress. In the case of a long-term stressful situation, I prefer to get involved in yoga and other related physical activities to overcome the side-effects of stress.

You have to keep in mind that stress can cause both physical as well as mental complications.
